What’s included in my travel card?
With an annual Robin Hood card, you can ‘hop on and hop off’ buses, trams, and trains in the Greater Nottingham area (excludes a small number of late-night and premium services). Visit the Robin Hood website to find out more about network maps and timetables.
How do I get my travel card?
We will email you when your card is ready for you to collect from Robin Hood Network.
What happens after the annual period is up and how do I renew?
Your travel card will not be automatically renewed. You can renew your travel card by submitting an enrolment form by the 1st of the month prior to renewal.
Eg. If you require a new travel card starting 1 December, please submit an enrolment form by 1 November.
How do I pay for my travel card?
You don't have to pay anything up front. NTU buy the season ticket for you, which you repay in 12 monthly instalments. The 12 monthly instalments will be deducted from your net pay.
Will the cost change?
We will notify you if your instalments are due to increase because of any price increase imposed by Robin Hood Network. Cancellation fees do apply, see below for information.
What should I do if I need to cancel my Robin Hood card?
If you wish to cancel your Robin Hood Network card, you must complete a benefit selection form and we will arrange cancellation from the end of the month.
Please note cancellations incur a cancellation fee of 10% of the remaining balance on the season card, plus a £10 administration fee. This will be charged to you.
What happens if I leave NTU before the end of the 12-month period?
You must email us at MyBenefits@ntu.ac.uk and let us know if you wish to either:
- Cancel - please see above for details of this process.
- Keep your card and continue to use it - we will refund or deduct any money owed to you, or by you, from your final net pay. If it is not possible to deduct all owed money you will receive an invoice for any amount outstanding.
We need to know your decision before the 10th day of the month in which you are leaving NTU. If we do not hear from you by this date any money you owe will be deducted from your net pay. If it is not possible to deduct all money owed from your net pay you will receive an invoice for the outstanding amount.
What happens if I lose or damage my card?
If your card is lost or stolen, you must contact City Card on 0115 876 2700 or by email at public.transport@nottinghamcity.gov.uk and a replacement card will be issued at cost to you (£3). Your previous card will also be made invalid.
If your card has been stolen, and you provide a crime number, there will be no replacement fee.
Visit the Robin Hood website for more information. If you have any questions about buying or cancelling your card, please contact us at MyBenefits@ntu.ac.uk.
