Terms and Conditions for the use of MyBenefits

The scheme is open to all colleagues who are employed on full or part time contracts, both fixed term (when employed at NTU for a minimum of 12 months from the benefit start date) and permanent. Employees who select a benefit will be subject to the terms and conditions of the scheme and to the providers' prices, conditions and requirements.

The University reserves the right to substitute, change, remove or add to the products and services available under the scheme, it also reserves the right to withdraw a benefit.

The University may exclude an individual from a particular benefit for legal or health and safety reasons and where there is no expectation of regular employment.

The information provided within the scheme should not be interpreted as a recommendation or advice on the part of the University or any of its suppliers or providers.

You are advised to seek independent financial advice if you need further guidance about the sustainability of any benefits available under the scheme in relation to your personal circumstances.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided, it is only intended to act as a guide to the scheme. In the event of any inconsistencies between the information offered by the University and the benefit providers' terms and conditions, the providers' terms and conditions will prevail.

Whilst the University has secured the provision of products, goods or services from the benefit providers, the University accepts no liability for the products, goods or services received by the employee.

 

General Data Protection Regulation

Information supplied on this form will be used by Nottingham Trent University in accordance with the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable legislation. 

We have a legal obligation to protect any personal data we collect from you. The University will use your information in the following ways:

  • To enable us to administer your benefits choices.
  • To share your data with benefit providers, where such data is required for the delivery of that benefit.

By completing and submitting an online application/amendment/cancellation form, you consent to the University processing your data in this way.

 

Personal data and the benefit provider

If, by selecting a benefit, you are transferred to the benefit providers own website, any personal data you provide to the benefit provider will be processed in accordance with the providers own privacy notice. You will need to agree to the benefit provider's own privacy notice in order to receive the benefit.

 

Declaration General

I understand that the University has the right under the terms and conditions to alter the arrangements and options available in respect of any of the benefits at any time and that I will be notified if this affects me.

I understand that it will not be possible to amend my benefit selection until the scheme renewal anniversary in October (excluding NTU Sport membership or travel season tickets, please see individual benefit details for further details) unless I experience a qualifying life event.

I agree that if I cancel my travel season ticket mid-year, the respective travel provider will charge a cancellation fee (provider specific) which will be deducted from my net pay. If it is not possible to deduct all money owed from my net pay, I will receive an invoice for the outstanding amount.

I confirm that I have read all the information provided in connection with the benefit(s) I have selected.

I agree that should I leave my employment, or should my employment be terminated for any reason, the University shall be entitled to make any relevant deductions in respect of my chosen benefit(s) from my final net pay.

I understand and agree that the University will make the necessary adjustments to my pay to reflect the benefit selections I have made and that my salary level or net will be reduced as a result of my participation in the scheme.

I confirm that either electronic or written submission of my benefit selection form(s) confirms my acceptance of these terms and conditions and that they are binding upon me as if they were written or signed.
