How can I book my assessment?
You'll receive a welcome email from Bupa once you’ve joined, with details on how to book your assessment at any time in the next 12 months.
Should I purchase a mammogram add-on?
Bupa welcome anyone aged 40 and above to have a breast cancer screening with them – and you can attend as often as every two years, or annually between the ages of 40 and 50, for peace of mind. Balancing your age and the risk of too much radiation in screening too often, Bupa will discuss frequency with you to decide what is right for you.
The mammogram can only be added to the Be.Reassured assessment.
How can I purchase this for my spouse or partner?
Complete the details for your spouse/partner on the benefit selection form. You can add your spouse/partner at the same time as you select this benefit for yourself.
What happens if I have to cancel my appointment?
If you cancel with less than five full working days' notice a £75 fee will be charged to you. For example, to cancel or rearrange a 2pm appointment on a Tuesday, you'll need to cancel before 2pm on the preceding Tuesday.
If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment (please bear in mind phone lines are closed Saturday and Sunday) the full cost of the health assessment will be charged to you.
The full fee will be charged to you if you fail to attend, or arrive very late, without letting the provider know in advance.
Can I cancel my cover?
Complete and submit a benefit selection form to cancel your health assessment.
If you cancel before having had your annual assessment, all monthly payments already made by you will be refunded in your net pay the following month. If you have already undergone or booked your assessment, the outstanding balance of the full annual cost will be deducted from your net pay the following month.
What happens if I leave NTU before the end of the benefit year?
If you have already undergone or booked your assessment before you leave, the outstanding balance of the full annual cost will be deducted from your net pay in your final pay. If it's not possible to deduct the whole outstanding balance from your final pay before you leave, you will be sent an invoice.
If you leave before having had your health assessment, please contact mybenefits@ntu.ac.uk so we can arrange for all monthly payments already made by you to be refunded in your net pay.
