Selecting benefits

Colleagues can select, amend, and cancel benefits online by using the Benefit Selection form. Forms for relevant benefits can be found by clicking the join button on the right-hand side of each benefit page.

You can find information below on how your forms are processed by us, to provide you with some guidance on what to expect when you submit a new form, amendment or cancellation request:

Join at any time

For the following benefits you are able to sign up, amend, and cancel at any time throughout the year:

  • NTU Gym and Sports Membership
  • Cycle to Work
  • Health Assessments
  • Health Cash Plan
  • All travel season tickets
  • Childcare Vouchers (amendments and cancellations only, not accepting new joiners)

We process your requests on the 1st of each month and the benefit will be available from the 1st of the following month (e.g. requests received by 1st November will be valid from 1st December with salary deductions commencing from December’s pay).

Join during the annual enrolment window

You can amend, cancel, and sign up for the following benefits when the annual benefits enrolment window opens. Your cover will be effective from 1st October. If you have recently joined NTU you can apply within the first two months of your employment.

  • Annual Holiday Travel Insurance
  • Critical Illness Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Private Medical Insurance

We process your requests on the 1st of each month and the benefit will be available from the 1st of the following month (e.g. requests received by 1st November will be valid from 1st December with salary deductions commencing from December’s pay).

Please note: Restrictions apply to some benefits if you're not in receipt of regular monthly pay or if you're employed on a short fixed-term contract. If you're not sure if this applies to you, get in touch with us via email at MyBenefits@ntu.ac.uk.
