BUPA: Our new Private Medical Insurance provider from 1 October 2023

Our Private Medical Insurance (PMI) scheme is renewed annually in October to ensure we are benefiting from the most competitive pricing. In recent years our scheme has seen significant increases to premiums and our priority has always been to offer a high quality, comprehensive scheme, monitoring closely to ensure it continues to represent the best value for NTU colleagues. 

We are pleased to announce that this year, due to a combination of both lower overall claims along with measures we have put in place to control costs, we have been able to negotiate a change of provider to Bupa which has resulted in a significant reduction in premiums for you and your family.

All colleagues and their dependants currently covered by the scheme with Aviva will be automatically renewed with Bupa from 1 October 2023.

Ongoing Claims

We are aware that some employees may have ongoing claims that will carry over into the new scheme year as at 1 October 2023.  If you have any planned treatment due within the first 3 weeks of October, please email mybenefits@ntu.ac.uk providing your name, best contact number, and home address.  Bupa claims will then contact you to make the necessary arrangements to continue treatment.
