What’s included in my season ticket?
With an annual Work by Tram season ticket, you'll get unlimited travel on the entire Nottingham tram network. Visit the NET tram website to find out more about network maps, timetables and more.
How do I get my season ticket?
Complete the Tram Benefit Selection Form to request a tram2work card. The Benefits Team will send you an access code to collect your card from NET. Cards must be collected within the month your deductions start.
What happens after the annual period is up and how do I renew?
Your season ticket will not be automatically renewed. You can renew your season ticket by submitting an enrolment form by the 1st of the month prior to renewal.
Eg. If you require a new season ticket starting 1 December, please submit an enrolment form by 1 November.
How do I pay for my season ticket?
You don't have to pay anything up front. NTU buy the season ticket for you, which you repay in 12 monthly instalments. The 12 monthly instalments will be deducted from your net pay.
Will the cost change?
We will notify you if your instalments are due to increase because of any price increase imposed by NET. Cancellation fees do apply, see below for information. Travel cards collected after the price increase will be charged at the new price.
What should I do if I need to cancel my season ticket?
Tickets purchased are non-refundable. Under certain circumstances refunds may be considered.
Refunds will be considered by NET on a case-by-case basis. Please note you may not receive a refund equal to the amount of unused travel and there may be an outstanding cost for the cancellation.
Any money you owe will be deducted from your net pay. If it is not possible to deduct all money owed from your net pay you will receive an invoice for the outstanding amount.
If you wish to cancel your season ticket, you must complete a benefit selection form. Please also email mybenefits@ntu.ac.uk detailing the reason for cancellation, so this can be reviewed by NET.
Please contact MyBenefits@ntu.ac.uk or visit the NET tram website for more information.
What happens if I leave NTU before the end of the 12-month period?
You must email us at MyBenefits@ntu.ac.uk and let us know if you wish to either:
- Cancel - please see above for details of this process. You can request for your season ticket to remain valid until your last day of employment. Your season ticket must be returned to the My Benefits Team on your last day.
- Keep your season ticket and continue to use it - we will refund or deduct any money owed to you, or by you, from your final net pay. If it is not possible to deduct all owed money you will receive an invoice for any amount outstanding.
We need to know your decision before the 10th day of the month in which you are leaving NTU. If we do not hear from you by this date any money you owe will be deducted from your net pay. If it is not possible to deduct all money owed from your net pay you will receive an invoice for the outstanding amount.
What happens if I lose or damage my season ticket?
If your season ticket is lost or stolen, you must contact NET Tram Travel immediately on 0115 942 7777 or go to the NET Travel Centre. A replacement season ticket will be issued to you the next working day at cost to you (£5). Your previous ticket will also be made invalid.
